On Thursday 29th September 2005, 550 rockers came together for Hedge Funds Rock and the inaugural Australian Hedge Funds Awards. The evening was a huge success with fund managers letting their hair down for one night to celebrate fi nancial and charitable success.
With headlining performances by The Radiators, Sistermadly and Typhoon, the Hedge Funds Industry ‘rocked out’ in recognition of their massive contribution to children’s cancer charity Cure Our Kids. This year’s Hedge Fund Directory & event, raised an impressive $260,000 for the charity, bringing the amount raised over the past 4 years to a massive $740,000.
Funds raised support Cure Our Kids, a children’s cancer charity that works to provide support services for families affected by cancer, as well as commissioning important research into further understanding and prevention of paediatric cancer. Research carried out in Australia is shared internationally, and is the key to increasing the survival rate of kids with cancer everywhere.
The Hedge Funds Rock event also saw the presentation of several prestigious and highly coveted awards recognising outstanding industry performance over the past 12 months.
