BizJournals – Angry investors who’ve been trying to withdraw money from two Portland hedge funds for more than a year on Tuesday expanded their collection efforts to one of Portland’s most well respected accounting firms.
In a lawsuit filed in Multnomah County Circuit Court, more than two dozen investors allege that Fred Williams and Hoang Nguyen, while employed by Perkins & Co., “recklessly or through gross incompetence” prepared account statements that overstated the value of investments made in funds operated by Portland-based Grifphon Asset Management and Portland-based Sasquatch Capital LLC.
