Reuters – A federal judge on Thursday [Oct. 11] set a trial date for the only Goldman Sachs Group Inc. employee charged in the government’s civil fraud case over the bank’s Abacus subprime mortgage deal.
Fabrice Tourre’s case is scheduled to go to trial on July 15, 2013, District Judge Katherine Forrest in Manhattan ruled. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is seeking financial and other penalties as part of its case.
