WSJ – Hedge funds are poised to register their best investment returns for a decade, staging a remarkable turnaround as some of last year’s worst-performing funds leap to the top of the tables.
Figures published by data provider Hedge Fund Research show the industry was up 18.81% to Nov. 24, based on its non-investable and investable indexes. A return of just 0.63% between now and the end of the year will take the industry’s returns past the level registered in 2003 and make this the best year since 1999.
