New York (HedgeCo.net) – In recognition of outperformance vs peers and benchmarks since inception, the Antarctica Credit and Distressed Fund Ltd has been named Best Newcomer Fund of Hedge Funds at the 2010 HFMWeek US Awards.
The award was announced at a gala dinner and awards ceremony attended by peers and hedge fund investors at 583 Park Avenue, New York on Tuesday 26th October, 2010.
Newcomer funds are defined as having a track record of between 12 and 35 months, the Antarctica Credit and Distressed Fund has a track record of 33 months. Five independent judges and a representative from HFMWeek make up the panel that decided the winners in eleven single manager categories and three categories for funds of hedge funds.
