HedgeCo.Net — U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $643.2 million of net outflows on October 30, the largest single-day withdrawal since June, according to Farside Investors data. The selling erased four straight sessions of inflows and turned the week negative.
BlackRock’s IBIT led redemptions with $233.7 million, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $201.0 million and ARK 21Shares’ ARKB at $129.5 million. Grayscale’s GBTC lost $53.3 million and Bitwise’s BITB $25.7 million, while the remaining products recorded no flows.
The funds had taken in $440.8 million over October 26 through 29, so Friday’s exit left the week $202.4 million in the red. Summing Farside’s daily totals puts October’s net outflow at about $515.9 million, even as IBIT alone drew roughly $932 million for the month while the other funds lost about $1.45 billion combined.
Ether funds also lost $155.7 million on the day, bringing their October withdrawals to about $1.61 billion. Cumulative net inflows into U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs since their January 2024 debut stood at about $57.0 billion.
For crypto allocators, the split matters as much as the total: assets continue to consolidate in the largest issuer, while bitcoin traded near $77,400 on October 31, below Glassnode’s estimated $81,500 average cost basis for ETF holders, a level that can pressure marginal holders.
