New York (HedgeCo.net) – Hedge fund law firm Ogier Group was named “Best Offshore Law Firm” under the inaugural 2011 service provider rankings of Hedge Funds Review. The distinction was announced at a special event held in London on 12 December 2011.
“This most recent accolade is immensely important to us and a strong validation of our preoccupation with the highest levels of client service across our legal practices,” said Peter Cockhill, partner, Ogier Cayman and head of the firm’s global investment funds practice. “Being voted ‘Best Offshore Law Firm’ twice in one year is also a significant achievement by any measure, of which we are justifiably proud,” he added, referring to Ogier’s first “Best Offshore Law Firm” award just two months earlier at the HFMWeek U.S. Hedge Fund Services Awards in New York.
The 2011 Hedge Funds Review Service Provider Rankings reflect the opinions of more than 1,000 investors in hedge funds and fund of funds – including family offices, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies and asset allocators – on a wide range of service providers identified as essential to the industry.
