New York (HedgeCo.Net) – Israel A. Englander & Co. LLC (IAE) is pleased to announce the hiring of Fredrick Scuteri as Chief Operating Officer of its Prime Services division. Scuteri, a 17-year industry veteran, joins Brett Yarkon as co-heads of the firm’s rapidly expanding business unit. Both report to President & CEO Stephen Tobias, who founded the firm in 1977. “We are extremely excited to bring in a person with Fred’s vast experience and deep industry knowledge,” said Tobias. “As we continue to expand our capabilities, Fred will be growing our product offering and streamline the operational workflow.”

Launched 3 years ago, Englander’s IPS division provides customized boutique, value added services to small & mid-size hedge funds. Its core offering includes multi prime data aggregation technology, real time portfolio management systems, low latency/fully transparent execution platform, portfolio hedging/ strategy advisory, and a high touch service model. The platform is customizable to fit the needs of the end client.
Mr. Scuteri was most recently Managing Director & Global Head of Hedge Fund Strategy Group at Thomson Reuters for prior two years. In that role, he was responsible for developing and maintaining the firm’s core propositions for Hedge Funds and other Alternative Investment participants. Prior to that, Scuteri served as COO and Head of Prime Brokerage Services for Cuttone & Company where he was responsible for the launch & development of Cuttone Global Prime Solutions, as well as oversight of the firm’s entire operational infrastructure.
