Apollo Provided a $1.25 Billion Capital Solution for BMG–Concord:

HedgeCo.Net — Apollo announced on September 17, 2026 that Apollo-managed funds and affiliates provided a $1.25 billion equity capital solution to support the recently completed combination of BMG and Concord, according to an Apollo GlobeNewswire release and Music Business Worldwide. The combined company retains the BMG name and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee.

Under the terms, Apollo acquired a noncontrolling interest in a BMG subsidiary that holds the legacy Concord ABS, backed by a catalog of more than one million songs. Apollo’s equity investment enables BMG to repay certain outstanding ABS liabilities. Since 2022, Apollo has supported Concord’s issuance of more than $4.5 billion of ABS debt; over the past five years Apollo has originated more than $8 billion in music-industry investments.

This is a disclosed capital-solutions closing around a completed corporate combination, not a rumor. Mark the $1.25 billion equity check, the noncontrolling interest in the Concord ABS subsidiary, the >1 million-song catalog, the ABS repayment use of proceeds, and the >$4.5 billion / >$8 billion music financing track as sourced. Do not invent top-level ownership percentages for Bertelsmann or Great Mountain Partners beyond the published tape.
