Permira and CPP Investments Completed the £2.7 Billion Take-Private of JTC:

HedgeCo.Net — Funds advised by Permira, alongside Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments), completed the acquisition of JTC plc on September 1, 2026. The deal values JTC at £2.7 billion; the company has delisted from the London Stock Exchange and is now privately held. JTC’s own completion notice is the primary. CPP Investments’ Canada Newswire release independently confirmed its investment after shareholder and regulatory approvals, and Permira’s announcement framed the same close and next growth phase.

CPP Investments is putting in about GBP 350 million (C$660 million) for roughly a 20 percent stake, with Permira holding the majority. CEO Nigel Le Quesne remains in place. Management’s Genesis-era plan targets a doubling of group size, with emphasis on North America and Europe M&A and AI-enabled client delivery. Robin Bell-Jones of Permira was quoted on the partnership as the company enters that next phase.

This is a completed take-private, not a recommended offer still subject to votes. Mark September 1, 2026 as the close, £2.7 billion as the enterprise headline, and ~GBP 350 million / C$660 million / ~20 percent as CPP’s sleeve beside Permira’s majority. Do not invent leverage multiples, a sponsor equity check beyond CPP’s disclosed line, or a hard doubling timetable that is not in these three sources. The allocator object is Permira plus a large Canadian pension owning a listed fund administrator now run as a private M&A-and-tech compounder.
